Smart Phone and Tablet Image Capturing, Enhancing, Back-Up and Print

There is no doubt in today’s frenetic social and technological changes that the average senior citizen sometimes can feel completely overwhelmed.

What do we do with the family albums and boxes of photos lying neglected in basements and garages.
We won’t have enough room to store them in the retirement villages. How can we preserve our own past photographic legacy that our children and grand children may in later years find useful.

The answers seem to be staring us in the face even though some of us may not be aware of it.

In this presentation Peter Chik will demonstrate how with the help of a reasonable priced smart phone or tablet ($100 to $300 range) and access to internet and wifi you will easily be able to scan the photos in your albums, enhance and manipulate them with a few apps and have them uploaded by wifi to free unlimited cloud backup.

Once these images are captured and stored in the cloud you can easily share them with family and friends by sending them the appropriate internet links.

Of course some of us would still like to have a hard copy printout of a few photos for our coffee table albums.

This can be done by downloading a few apps and have your photos printed via wifi or cable at your local photo printing stores. Or use the SnapFish to have them printed remotely and delivered to your home.

In addition because of recent advances in smartphone cameras using dual camera lens and Face ID technology this presentation will also touch on augmented reality apps eg using the camera to arrange furniture in an empty room in real time.

Be sure to register early as this session is optimally limited to 20 attendees to allow for plenty of useful hands on demonstration and suggested solutions to questions asked.
