Welcome to Wellington SeniorNet
Where Wellington Seniors have been meeting since 1992 to learn to use and enjoy new electronic technology.
If you are having problems with your new digital device, or simply want to know more about how it works and what you can do with it – why not check us out? The tutors are all volunteers and former students so understand the special needs of older learners.
You have a choice of different learning styles, from structured courses and workshops to free-flowing, question and answer style, special interest groups (SIGs) and one-on-one assistance at the Help Centre.
There is a modest charge for courses, workshops and the Help Centre but SIGs are free and membership only costs $25 for a full year, with reduced rates for those joining later in the year.
So if you want to get more out of your computer, smartphone or tablet why not come to our next Visitors’ Day (12.30 - 2.30 pm, Friday 11 June) or just pop into the office between 10am-12md on weekdays. You can also find out more about us and access useful links by clicking on the tabs in the header bar above.
All scheduled learning opportunities are shown on our calendar, and closer to their date they will also appear on our home page and this will tell you if there is a cost and how to register. Pre-registration is essential for our popular sessions so we can ensure we have PCs and tutors available. A weekly email to members also provides details of what's coming up in the next fortnight.
If you would like to learn something that doesn't seem to be on our course list, please email the office who will forward your email to the appropriate course coordinator.
Workshops
Workshops provide a 2-hour presentation on a variety of interesting topics suggested by members.
